Data Compliance & Security
Effective Date: September 4, 2026 • Version 1.1
1. Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP Act, 2023) Alignment
PrintIn operates in strict alignment with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). We serve as a trusted technical facilitator between diverse end-users (students, working professionals, small businesses, and walk-in individuals) and independent stationery print shop operators.
- Purpose Limitation: Uploaded customer documents are strictly processed for the immediate purpose of spooling and physical printing. Files are never indexed, analyzed, mined for advertising, or used to train artificial intelligence / LLM models.
- Data Minimization: End-users can upload documents anonymously using temporary print tokens without being forced to create consumer profiles or surrender personal identifiers.
- Right to Erasure: All completed, cancelled, or abandoned print jobs undergo automated cryptographic erasure every night during our midnight sweep.
- Zero Financial Intermediation:PrintIn does not collect, hold, or escrow customer funds, nor do we store debit/credit card numbers or UPI MPINs. All payment transactions initiated via counter QR codes or UPI deep-links route peer-to-peer directly to the local shopkeeper's bank account without platform intermediation.
MANDATORY STORAGE RETENTION LIMIT (MIDNIGHT PURGE)
Print files are treated as ephemeral payloads. Cloud storage containers are subjected to an automated purge cycle at 12:00 AM (midnight) IST daily. Document binary blobs are permanently unlinked and deleted from cloud object storage containers.
2. Technical & Cryptographic Safeguards
All browser-to-cloud and cloud-to-agent communications are enforced with TLS 1.3 / HTTPS encryption.
Temporary document storage buckets utilize AES-256 server-side encryption with signed short-lived URL access.
3. Confidential Printing & Access Controls
To safeguard sensitive legal contracts, business records, financial filings, personal identity documents, and academic papers, PrintIn includes customer-controlled PIN protection. When enabled:
- The document preview, page count thumbnail, and print execution are locked behind a user-selected 4-digit PIN.
- Store operators cannot inspect or dispatch the document until the customer physically supplies the correct unlock PIN at the counter.
4. Zero Local Disk Footprint on Counter PCs
The PrintIn Desktop Agent and Windows CLI Bridge pipe raw PDF print streams directly into the native Windows Print Spooler (`winspool.drv`). The software does not create unencrypted cache folders, permanent document libraries, or accessible file logs on operator computers.
5. Grievance Redressal & Data Protection Inquiries
In accordance with data protection regulations, any customer, business, working professional, student, or shop operator may request immediate deletion of their account telemetry or report any security concern to our designated Data Protection & Grievance Officer:
